FRO SH September - Monday Dear Diary: First day of school today - supposed to be big honor 'cause we're first Freshmen to enter S.H.S. October - Sunday Morning Dragged my wrecked body home from Freshmen Welcome Dance. Now I know what it means to be creamed! October - Monday Held elections today - Gil Emond, Pres., Zoot Simone, Veepg Tedi, Steno., Honey, Money holder. Mrs. Skorupski will lead us through our first headaches. October - Wednesday Rosie Palmieri, Bob Simone, Mary Ann Carbone, and Marilyn Earl will govern our class. December - Thursday Elaine DiCaprio and Bob Styring are the most talented in orchestra. They were picked to go to All-State. December - Monday Reet Billington and Bob Styring reported the news flashes. They were elected to join the Emblem staff - bet they'll do a good job. December - Friday Variety of clubs to pick from - joined softball and foreign language club. Cheered fellows on teams through Pep Club. Fellows on the Frosh squad are: Garling, Johnson, Simone, Lutkus, Law- rence, Swain, Ogonoski, Allen, Judd, and Jankowsky. Emond, Salzillo, Fasulo, Montague, and Jan- kowsky are going to try to make the loopers this basketball season. February - Saturday Honey and Gil were the two lucky kids chosen as our Valentine Pages. March - Wednesday The magazine drive just closed and We didn't do so well. Guess we'll just have to try harder next year. N SOPH. September - Wednesday Dear Diary: Well,'I dragged myself up at seven A.M. this morning! You guessed it - school again and - gee, I'm a Soph. at last! October - Tuesday Golly what a day -- had class elections, Bob Styring was elected Pres., Mickey Manware, Veepg Kay Snow, Steno., Dru Lachlet, Money holder, and Tedi Mayo, Emblem reporter. Miss Heafy agreed to be our class advisor. February - Saturday Bob Simone and Kay Snow will represent our class tonight as Pages at the annual Valentine Dance. March - Friday Worked a little harder - so we tied for second place in the Magazine Drive. That's not bad! March - Monday Chris got a key for a story that she wrote that was entered in the annual Hartford Courant Scholastic contest. We're all very proud of her. April - Sunday Our big splash of the Soph. year was the Springtime Dance . Billy Barbier's orchestra played. May - Friday Thank goodness all that screaming I've been hearing has finally stopped. Next year's cheer- leaders were picked today. The lucky gals are Joan Cooley, Annamae, Tedi, Ronnie, Marion, and Honey. JUNIOR . September - Thursday Dear Diary: Back to school again, it was good to see all the gang. Finally made the grade of upperclassmen! September -- Wednesday , Tedi, President, Joan Cooley, Veepg Honey, Steno.g and Paula, Money holder were elected as our class officers. The girls seem to reign this year. . - October - Monday Had the first meeting of the Emblem today. Tedi, Bruce England, Peachie Aszklar, Ernie, and Joan Nonemacher are the juniors on the board.
