The Business Education Department is responsible for training the typists, secretaries, and accountants of tomorrow. The department has an office preparatory course which is made up of students who are referred to as Poo Secretaries. These students have a chance to apply what they have learned by assisting the faculty and administration as secretaries throughout the year. Besides being responsible for teaching courses strictly on the business level, other courses such as personal typing and consumer math are taught. The department was very fortunate in that the installation of electrical outlets in conjunction with the additional electrical typewriters aided in stressing the importance of business education.
