Bright lights on Broadway fascinated sixteen of the Southern Wayne journalism students as they made their way through the crowded streets of New York City. Many rode the subways for the first time traveling to and from their classes at Columbia University. Before and after classes, the students attended such events as an all-daV tour of the city, a Broadway play, the NIT at Madison Square Garden, and the Easter program at Radio City Music Hall. The conference ended with a Luncheon at the exquisite Waldorf-Astoria. 62
