Though unable to present a play, the Epidaurian Players worked enthusiastically throughout the year. The club was divided into three groups to provide for more individual participation. Each group presented skits at the meetings. Some members visited various workshops throughout the state. Many members of the Drama Club were fortunate enough to attend the presentation of Summertree ' ' at East Carolina University. 134

The Hobbit, Walden, The Ugly American were read and discussed by the Literary Club. Sponsored by Mrs. Evelyn Kornegay, Miss Ann Ward, and Mrs. Mary Morgan, the club was more active this year than ever before.
