Book and Candle Society The Book and Candle So- ciety has been on Southern UniversityTs campus since 1958. The club has grown and improved over the years. The members consist of Li- brary Science minors. The purposes of the organi- zation are: tD To contribute to the interest of the students minoring in Library Science. QT To instill in others the hunger for books both for in- formation and pleasure. CD To provide oppoxtunities for students to meet leaders in our field, and visit other 1i- braries in the area.
