Accounting Society The Accounting Society, a newly formed business asso- ciation, was organized on Sep- tember 25; 1964. There are fifty-seven members in the so- ciety. The purposes of the Menhs Federation are to foster high ideals of moral, social and intellectual growth among men of the institution, and to act as a means by which male students may express themselves and their problems to the administration. Book and Candle Society The Book and Candle So- ciety has been on Southern UniversityTs campus since 1958. The club has grown and improved over the years. The members consist of Li- brary Science minors. The purposes of the organi- zation are: tD To contribute to the interest of the students minoring in Library Science. QT To instill in others the hunger for books both for in- formation and pleasure. CD To provide oppoxtunities for students to meet leaders in our field, and visit other 1i- braries in the area.
