'OTC Coronation Miss Sandra Temple, of Kentwood, Louisiana, was crowned Miss R.O.T.C. of 1964-65 at the Annual Military Ball in the Gymnasium. The Ball was witnessed by hundreds of R.O.T.C. Cadets, their guests, and the instruc- tors of Military Science. Miss Temple and her attendants were the high- light of the ball, in their beautiful gowns which brought out the sight of brass and Military Uniforms. Miss Temple is 'a member of the Alpha 'Kappa Alpha Sorority, Gamma Sigma Sigma Service Sorority, Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society, and she is Editor of the 65 ttCatf, The lovely Miss Temple with her magnetic per- sonality, charm, intelligence, and poise was radiant. Coronation of Miss Southern Miss Bettye Baptiste, of Baldwin, Louisiana, was crowned Miss Southern University of 1964-65 at the annual Coronation Ball held in the Gymnasium. The affair was a gala activity with the wonderful music of Hank Crawford. The formal affair brought a great highlight to the campus, leading the activities for the Homecoming weekend. Miss Baptiste is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, University Usher Corps, Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society, and an economics major. The attendants to Miss Southern also took their respective positions on this weekend. The Coronation was the beginning of the reigning of our campus queens. Miss Baptiste, who was chosen on her intelligence, poise, charm and magnetic personality, was the epit- ome of elegance. The students were proud to crown her ttMiss Southern11 for 1964-65.
