HOMECOMING H65 Our fifty-first'Homecoming Celebration was a most memorable event. Lanterns, rcandles, cheering, laughter, and music lent to the spirit that was demonstrated on the night of the annual Torch Parade. The parade was led by Miss Southern, Bettye Bap- tiste, and the President of the Student Body, Joe Louis Smith. The Pep Rally was one a of the most exciting events, with original skits by the dormitories-Lakeside Dormitory highlighted this event. The Birthday Cake, which saluted Southern University oh its Golden Anniversary, was one of the highlights. The heautifulicake, which was only a float, looked good enough to eat. Other activities, including the Alumni dinner, class reunions, barbecues, and the dance, helped to make this homecoming celebration a most memorable one.
