Oedies Williams Beta Beta Beta Biological Society seeks to encourage scholarly attainment, to cultivate intellectual interests in the natural sciences, and to promote a better appreciation of the values of biological study. Psi Chi, the national honor society in Psychology, was organized September 4, 1929, at the Ninth International Congress of Psychology held in New Haven, Connecticut. The purpose of this organization is to advance the science of psychology, and to encourage, stimulate, and maintain scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly psychology. Gore, Sr. The purpose of the Society is to promote scholarship, encourage sincere and zealous endeavor in all fields of knowledge and service, cultivate a high order of personal living, and develop an appreciation for scholarly work and scholarly endeavors in others. The Beta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Mu Gamma was established at Southern University in May, 1963. It is a national honor society for the promotion of interest and proficiency in foreign languages. Pi Omega Pi Irving, Mattie Jones, Vincent Scott, Virtys White, Unice Pi Omega Pi is the National honorary fraternity in Business Education. Delta Lambda Chapter of Pi Omega Pi was organized at Southern University on May 23, 1959. The purpose of the organization is to create and maintain high scholarship among prospective teachers of business subjects.
