Miller There is nothing higher or deep- er in human experience than to be God-possessed, atemple of the Holy Ghost. This year's theme, that in all things He might have preemin- ence, would make us believe that Christ is formed within us, the hope of glory. Every created thing shows that God's method of working is from the center outward. When we ignore this method, we frustrate God's plan and fail. To be in harmony with this method means that God must be in complete control at the center of our being, that our life must be entirely and unreservedly in God's hands. To work out His plan, God must have the complete use of every power of our being, of all the members of our body, of everything we are and have. We cannot afford to limit God and fail to fulfill the glorious plan He has for us. We were born into the world for such a time as we now live in, and we have the privilege of being used of God. Let us not be so pre- occupied with ourselves, our own plans, and our petty interests that we are oblivious to the purpose of God. n Q:- ffm wi my iz Q1 t sf V 9l'u :7e'l-as ' Y Lg 5- ' Q, ' w 1, M .9 - Y.-3 55, A ' ' ,S K3 is 5' . k fi , f -f, ' ' m w ga --Z V e ' 1 L-14t ,w AKQ- ,, in 'Egger . i QEQQL W it A - -7 35 I f ,ein i A-5 5 fr vglgf L 14 BOARD OF DIRECTOR OFFICERS Chairman, W. Surbrook, Sponsor. The Christian Service Organization has cer- tainly proved to be a vital part of the school by fulfilling its purpose of developing and exercis- ing the talents of young Christian workers. Mem- bers have participated in services of singing and testimonies for the patients of the Sunset Rest Home and also at jail services. Each student has found many blessings by helping others. 72 Officers Bonnie Rizak, Secretary and Treasurer Love Leonard and Phyllis Saunders, Co-Presidents MISSIO ARY OCIET The Missionary Society has a definite place in every Christain school. It is composed of students who feel called to the mission field or have a concern for the foreign work of the church. Its purpose is to foster a deep interest in giving to others in need. Among its various activities andprojects is that of having week- ly prayer for the missionaries and for the spiritual welfare of our school. Results of these prayers, such as an altar service after regular chapel worship, are pictured below. -' f-tw: 73 CHGIR Having two concerts in December, the choir began its work early this year and was kept busy until the end of school. As students and faculty passed by during practice sessions, they were convinced that a gymnasium had been added because of the warm-up exercises used by the new choir director. Under the able direction of Mr. John Bowman and the accompaniment of Miss Ruth Surbrook, the choir has been a blessing, not only to those who listened but also to the members themselves. Although the numerous rehearsals were strenuous and time-consuming, every member of the choir was rewarded for his efforts by the wonderful Christian fellowship and the privilege of be- longing to a choir of which he could truly be proud. 75 ,Q E .QJJ .A-.vp xifia Q5 5. ff' 3 W 54' if ,yzgf V ?..,1.x ., . .
