-... PRINTS OF PROGRESS Use thy youth so that thou amayest have comfort to remember it when it hath forsaken thee, and not sigh and grieve at the account thereof. Use it as the springtime which soon departeth, and wherein thou oughtest to plant and sow all provisions for a long and happy life. Sir W. Raleigh. p An education is not obtained simply through the medium of books and lectures. As young people prepare for the many areas of Christian service, it is essential thatthey have experience in a number of activities and be pre- pared to help different types of people. The activities at S.P.C. are so arrangedthat one may receive this type of training which is so vital in form- ing a well-balanced character. The Ministerial Association is preparedto send a speaker and a musical group to church andjail services or wherever some servfice may be rendered. The A cappella Choir, providing a musical outlet for many of the students, travels during the second semester. From the choir are formed the smaller groups of sextets, trios, and quartets. From the Student Council has been organized the Alethea Club, which studies the tactics and progress of Communism. The Science Club is for those who are especially interested in scientific endeavor. The Beta Club is to recognize those who have ex-. celled in scholarship. All those who attend S.P.C. have the privilege of the many experiences which deepenthe Christian life and usually are not received outside of Bible School. 57
