HAUBERT TO THE CLASS OF l968 The jet pilot must have some experience when he breaks through the sonic barrier. just as the pilot does, so everyone must pass through a critical period as he moves from one environment to another, from a lower position a higher one, or to new responsibilities. Graduation from high school means that you have acquired a foundation of knowledge along with certain skills and understandings. Now you must make the choice as to how you will approach life: Will you be a giver or a taker? Will you learn to serve yourself? Your answers are important to your own future happiness and to the strength and progress of the world about you. It is my sincere wish that each graduate of the Class of 1968 will find his or her own personal happiness through helping to build a better community, nation, and world. Dr. john R.
