F ORE WORD This yearbook is dedicated to twelve years of schooling successfully completed. This Solehian is dedicated to South- ern Lehigh, our Alma Mater. But it is not inscribed to a mere building, for we the Class of '62 have come to realize that Southern Lehigh is truly more than stone and steel. It is an emotional experience--a once in a life time experience. lt is a friendship, a basketball game, a memorable evening, aband rehearsal, afieldtrip, an assembly--all this and much more. We know, too, that in future years we will look back at Southern Lehigh as a pleasant memory and a recollection of good times passed. And if in this Solehian we can but give you a glimpse of that reminiscence, if we can but stir in you a certain nostal- giag then we shall have accomplished our long- range purpose. But the immediate value of this volume is a light one: to give youalittle sketch by which to remember a close friend, a picture you can laugh about with your classmates. But the longer you have it, the more you will treasure it for the memories it contains 5 and the more it will be worth to you.
