Sabine Vclccine Along with other schools in Kentucky and the nation, Southern Junior High School received the Sabine Oral Vaccine. The Daviess County Health Association visited our school during the months of September, and October 1962 and during the month of March 1963. A big percentage of the students took advantage of at least one dose of Student Council members the Vaccine. guard the water fountains to keep students from drinking 15 minutes be- fore and after taking the V3.CC1ne. Susan Parish a ninth grade student gets her name checked and then receives her lump of sugar with the vaccine on it. lst Doy of Junior High New members of the 7th grade class enter Southern for the first time. The biggest part of the new 7th graders come from Washington, Newton Parish, Longfellow, and Emerson Other grade schools in the city are represented but the largest percent come kif W ffiifw ,Ai ,S - 'lie . 7th graders are busy on their first day, making out schedules and getting to know the routine of junior high. We are very proud of our 7th grade this year and we have enjoyed watching them grow both physically and mentally and be coming important members of our Southern family.
