Time To Work and Save for an Education Q NOR Money, in some concrete form, is a necessity to every college student. The anyone who wants to go to college can line is a truism though, for there are many means of income for the college-bound per- son. A large percentage of SIU's student body is aided by many different kinds of scholarships and loans. Besides this source of income, students may obtain financial aid by working for the University or for Carbondale business firms. Students working off- campus may hold such positions as sales clerks or bartenders. Students with University-sponsored jobs may find work ranging from night janitor to airline hostess. Knowing they're not going to get rich on 2325 a week, 4,100 SIU student workers find their bi-monthly paycheck adequate help in partially financ- ing the rising costs of a college education.
