Southern defeated Greensburg 1-O and Mayfield 2-Og then lost to Ashland in an extra inning game 1-O. Only one run was scored against Southern during the entire tournament and it cost South- ern the state title. The entire squad of sixteen boys con- tributed something, each in his own way. But Mike Riffe, Mike Reisser, Dom Simms, Charley Whalen, Bobby Mefford, David Videtto, Mark Ott, Gary Walden, Rich Chowning and Gary Metcalf were outstanding as a team. A message from every person and sponsor that has contributed time and effort for a better Southern. A message that expresses a heart full of gratitude, love and thanksgiving. The interested Seniors of Southern are not leavingg they are staying. For a person who put part of his life and soul in Southern, there is no leaving. From every participating student goes thanks to a concerned and dedicated faculty. I thank the members of our class for their ever-present help and support. I wish only the very best for you in the future years and join the entire Class of ,69 when I say H hello to a better Southern. Mike Ott 220 Ro!! of Honor We the class of 1969 have Hnally reached a milestone in our lives. Through our many years together, we have found able leaders and lasting friends. To represent the strength of mind, spirit, and personality we have voted, along with the faculty, on ten people who most accurately measure up to these qualities which should be recognized as . . . our TOP TEN. Vicky Scott David Mather Marla Shahan Ernie Mayberry Carol Cooper Mike Ott Donna Meredith Terry Gregory Connie Messel Bill Laha SUPERLATIVES The senior favorites were chosen by an outstanding personality trait which is typical ofeach per- son. Whether it is Best Personality or Cutest, each one of these students has added to the senior class something that will remain throughout the following years at Southern. The Class of '69 wishes the best ofluck to the following senior classes in hopes that their senior year will be as memorable as ours has been. fm if Zpayff 223 , x, 13 224 Q 2 5 Q J ff- .-' Q I' PMALQJ 226 , Q 'B 228 Mfaff 2 ..
