There is so much to be said of one's senior year. Wrapped in the definite glory of being the ranking students of the school, each senior has experienced a year filled with memories of a victorious Homecoming and dance, a Christmas and Sweetheart dance, and that splendor of the 1968-69 Prom. Then, of course, there was the unforgettable senior play. Each of these events has meaning for seniors, for this will be the last opportunity for them to participate in such activities. The Class of '69 was an active, mischievous class. Senior slop day, and struggling for seniors' rights, such as a senior's lunch line or a senior's lounge, were a few of the activities in which the seniors actively participated. They were also a class that wished to be recognized, and it appears they will be for some time by all who see their imprint on the school's baby-blue water tower. Perhaps the reason for this recognition is due to the fact that the class of '69 will probably by the last of the smaller graduating classes. Seniors, greatly outnumbered by underclassmen, had the privilege of being the first graduating class of Southern Senior High School, Harwood, Maryland. Yes, 1968-69 will be a year filled with great memories for seniors. A year when they had to prepare for that future a step away. Every senior has been given a background and solid foundation for his life ahead. Now he must completely enter the adult world and meet the future. For each senior in the class of '69 may this thought be with you opon your graduation - This is not'-the end It is not even the beginning of the end But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning. - Winston Churchill 41 Steve Parks, a graduate
