Facilities for practice and storage of equipment were not completed for the Band until late into the school year. Yet, under these disadvantages, Southern's Band survived and brought to the school and public three fine musical programs. DRIVERS EDUCATIO In offering a Driver's Education course at Southern, the hope is to provide a proper education in driving safety. Because the state law requires persons under eighteen to have Driver's Education before acquiring their licenses, Driver's Education classes have become quite popular. CHORUS Sharing the misfortune of incomplete facilities with the band, the chorus did not let this obstacle bar its way. After performing for the Christmas PTA meeting, the chorus labored in preparation for the May production of Brigadoonf' The admiration of such a production was further complimented by the newly completed auditoriumin which the musical took place.
