In addition, the Council strives for good student-faculty relations, school im- provements, and increased awareness of the responsibilities and rewards of sound government. Under the guidance of Advisor N. Thomas Albright, and leadership of President, Mike Raley, the l966- l 967 Student Council presented the Homecoming Dance, the Thanks- giving, Christmas, and Easter Assemblies, the March of Dimes Drive, and the Talent Show. Junior High Student Council For the first time in Southern's histo- ry, the Seventh and Eighth Grades have their own Student Council. The Junior High student body has re- sponded to the new organization with recognition of its problems and promise. With the help of Advisor Martin D.
