Coaches Mrs. Stacey is a graduate of Southern and came back as a student teacher three years ago. Since that time she has assumed the responsibility of the girls' IV basketball team coach. She has been coaching for two years and in that time has gained the team- work that made for two highly successful years Mrs. Papetti is the girls' varsity basket- ball coach. She has in- creased the interest in girls' sports at South- ern within the last few years. This year her team is well on the road to another victori- ous season and county title. This year marks the third year Mr. Teri- shinski has been the coach of the Southern Bulldogs football team. His perpetual interest and enthusiasm has 4 brought them a long way in three seasons. He has also done a great deal for the cheerleaders. Through his excellent work with sports, Mr. Terishin- ski has become an out- standing citizen and is loved and respected in his community as well as here at Southern.

Mr. Redman is new to Southern. He has turned out a hard- working JV Basketball team. These boys greatly appreciate the interest Mr. Redman is taking in them and are proving it by win- ning quite a few of their games. Although not new to Southern, Mr. Hardi- son is new to coaching this year. His interest in football led him to assume the duties of coach of JV football and his time and effort was certainly appreciated. Mr. Albright has been with Southern for six years and has taken on many responsibili- ties having to do with the sports program, including the Boys' Var- sit Basketball coach y . His ever- ready encour- agement has brought the team through many tough games. Mr. Al- bright has been athletic director for 4 years and has the heartfelt thanks of Southern's entire student body for his patience and inter- est in our program. In the past few years wrestling has been gaining popu- larity at Southern. Credit for this in- creasing interest is due to the guidance of Mr. Paul Hunt. This year the team has showed remark- able improvement and is determined to perform well at the county tournament.
