Majorettes Each spring, some of the prettiest and hardest working girls at Southern try out for majorette. Only a selecte d few are chosen based on their routines and abilities. The Confederettes promoted interest during halftime and added to school spirit. They are also selected upon their abilities to perform. Both groups performed at football games, numerous local parades, the Veterans Day parade in Greensboro, and the Inaugural parade at Raleigh.
