This year’s Homecoming Queen was Judy Custer. Judy was a G.A.A. member and the decoration chairman for Homecoming. The day of the dance Judy had to take her SAT test and could not supervise over the decorating. She did not know if the decorations would turn out as planned so naturally her nerves were shot. Judy felt that being Homecoming Queen was an honor and any GAA member would be excited over the title. The week preceding Homecoming was filled with various events, some of which were crazy sock and hat day, lick-em day, red and white day, a scavenger hunt, and a bonfire. The winners of the scavenger [ie ae ¢ hunt were given a free pass to the game on Friday night. The pep assembly Friday afternoon included a pom-pom routine performed by Senior High Majorettes and varsity cheerleaders. There were various chants and cheers and many selections played by the Senior band. The cheerleaders also played a stunt on six of the football players who were blindfolded and unknowingly kissed by their mothers. Friday night was the Homecoming game. The Southern Rams were defeated by the Northern Husk- ies, twelve to zero. All in all the events of the week made Homecoming 1976 a memorial event. 1.
