IN MEMORIAM MEARL MEL LOTT Mearl worked at Southern Fulton from July, 1971, until August, 1979, but helped out on a few emergencies during the school term of 1979-80. MEARL We took you for granted The days you were here, Tending to problems No matter how mere. You looked out for the students. And teachers as well. And even repaired the changing bells. A call of assistance You always heeded, W'hen the furnace showed resistance Or an electrician was needed. A better handyman We've never known. And we surely have missed you Since God called you home. 28 Alda Lashley

SOUTHERN FULTON SCHOOL CARNIVAL OCTOBER 5, 1979 The annual school carnival was a successful one. Even though we didn't reach last year's raffle ticket sales, we grossed $6,451 and made a net profit of $5.636.80. The winning homeroom was Mr. Knight’s with $714 sold. They were awarded the pizza party at Town Hill Restaurant.
