We the class of 1978 have made many enjoyable memories throughout our high school years at S.F.H.S. We will, from this day on, have to look forward to more rewarding experiences in our future. As a remembrance of our senior year, we have put a lot of effort into our 1978 edition of the Chieftain Yearbook. We would like to express our appreciation to those who have made the 1978 Yearbook possible. The days we spent together on putting our efforts and co-operation towards the yearbook have been a splendid, but yet a hard ex- perience. dedication A PARTING WORD I know you ... For I have counseled and guided your brothers and sisters in another time. I've helped seek goals and planned the routes to dreams, castles and thoughts sublime. I've heard you argue against the swells of our civil and social oceans. And responded in kind to sway you to understand our laws, thoughts and motions. The baton is now yours to carry — chase against time and times — challenge what may be. Be gentle ... concern yourself with change for it can be harsh and cruel to you and me. But let changes come — with exhilarating life breathed into it by your work, love and thought. Perhaps your efforts, idealistic and vibrant will unfold the strife-free world I sought. You are now yourself ... none other ... for blood, genes and the world have already made the cast. Perform well, for in years to come I will again evaluate the grades you've amassed. I love you for you are youth ... you are also my future ... 3
