During the past year, the Art Club has decorated for the Christmas Concert, which included decorating the Senior Christmas Tree , on which were many shaped ornaments with all the Seniors’ names. Decorations were also made for the Spring Concert. The Art Gub members are privileged to use the art room to make crafts for themselves under the guidance of Mr. Hammond. This club has more members than any other at Southern Fulton High, and is made up of grades 9-12.

In October we held a Slave Day for all students, which turned out to be very successful. We made a pledge of S50 to the Hancock Municipal Fund to help in the construction of their new swimming pool project. In April, we participated with James Buchanan High School in Student Exchange Day. We visited each other’s schools to try to find new ideas to better our schools. The 1975-76 FHA Chapter began their year with 31 members. The projects of the year were sponsoring the annual Christmas decorating contest within the high school. The chapter also sold Cutco knives. At the annual Arts and Crafts Show, the FHA sponsored a film “200 Years of Fashion.” Our field trip tf s visiting a charm school in Hagerstown.
