Appearing before capacity crowds, Stevie Wonder rocked Lyman Auditorium on Novem- ber 17, 1972, in two dynamic concerts. Building the evening around his new single, Superstition , Wonder delighted his audi- ences with renditions of his past hits. My Cherie Amour and For Once In My Life each brought thunderous applause. His newest song, the very beautiful f'You and I , was also well received. Ending with the dynamic Signed, Sealed and Delivered , Wonder enjoyed an enthusias- tic half-hour standing ovation. Byrds stage exciting show Our world moves at an incredible pace. Some- times things happen so quickly that we lose sight of what is really the most valuable. If it were not for nostalgia, much of what we have believed to be good would surely be lost. Nostalgia - where would we be without it? Nos- talgia might well have been the key word of the September 22 concert by the Byrds. As the Byrds performed several of their oldies, it became appar- ent that the beautiful and heavy sounds which they were famous for in the past are still very much with us. Playing with the smooth transcendence that has always characterized their music, the Byrds delight- ed their audience with an interesting variation of Mr.Tambourine Man . The Byrds were certainly not far from the truth when they chose as the title of one of their albums, Younger Than Yesterday . 29
