SENIORS MARY JEAN THOMPSON Folkston, Ca. .lean entered college with us very quietly in 1943. She has so many fine qualities that it is difficult to pick out one to talk about. Selman came to Southern in '45 just after leaving the 'li, Navy. He has been an irregular student ever since 1 because he has credits from Auburn and Emory. After being with her for these three short years we believe that she has the grit and tenacity to match her dreams with realities. A. Ph. A. Secretary 3. FRED Srovvmns Hluittle Freddie College Park, Ca. 4'Little Freddie as he is known to his colleagues, is a quiet fellow with a dry wit. He keeps the class in an uproar with his humorous remarks. Freddie is one of the many whose education was interrupted by the war. He was in the Army three and a half years, serving three years overseas in New Guinea and the Philippines. May success he Frecl's reward. THELMA THATCH Knoxville, Tenn. '4B.rownie,7 was responsible for much of the fun that we knew at Southern. Known and liked hy the whole school, her wit relieved many a dull day. 15
