Freddie is one of the many whose education was interrupted by the war. He was in the Army three and a half years, serving three years overseas in New Guinea and the Philippines. This youngster is a big, robust fellow packed full of fun. In spite of all this fun he must have found time for his studies. The results he obtained in his work is evidence to convince us that his ambitions are big. Business Manager Spatula lg Chairman Recreation GRADY SMITH Marietta, Ga. Grady has been with us since 1938 with the exception of time in the Army. He has been a special student since and has had a tough time getting schedules to work out. But he has succeeded and is taking the final step toward becoming a registered pill roller. We wish him much success. Committee 1. WARREN Y. SMITH 'iSmitty,' Jesup, Ga. Warren is a carefree, happy-go-lucky fellow, who still finds time for his studies and his store in .lesup Kon week- ends, etc.j He is doing more than his share to uphold the standards of our profession. Warren is a graduate of Mars Hill Junior 'College and a year at Oklahoma Baptist University. A veteran of three years in the Army Air Corps, he flew fifty-two missions over Italy. SENIORS MARY JEAN THOMPSON Folkston, Ca. .lean entered college with us very quietly in 1943. She has so many fine qualities that it is difficult to pick out one to talk about. Selman came to Southern in '45 just after leaving the 'li, Navy. He has been an irregular student ever since 1 because he has credits from Auburn and Emory.
