SERGEANT MAJOR PRESLEY Sergeant Major Presley is without doubt one of the most outstand- ing staff members to come to S.C.M.A. He has a long list of medals and awards which he has received during his career in the service. Among these are the silver and bronze medals, the purple heart, and the presidential citation. Sgt. Major Presley is inter- ested in sports, loves to fish, and his main hobby is ornithology. The cadets of S.C.M.A. respect and love him proudly and salute him. MRS. IVY GENTLE Mrs. Ivy Gentle is the day nurse at S.C.M.A. She has been with the Academy for five years and has served with dedication and love. She became a nurse because she likes to help other people, and she has been doing this for the last thirty years. Mrs. Gentle lives in Long Beach and enjoys sports and the out-of-doors. Her spiritual life is an inspiration to us all, and the cadets wish to express their appreciation to her and say thank you for the loving care. MR. TONY HERRERA Mr. Tony Herrera has been with the Academy for several years. He is very much loved and respected by the students, and he is never too busy to take time to talk with them. Tony lives in IMorth Long Beach and here he enjoys his hobbies of boxing and baseball. At one time he wanted to be a boxer. During the day Tony works as one of S.C.M.A. ' s maintenance men and at night he is the school ' s custodian. The cadets say thank you for your interest in them. n
