Q ' I 1. ,' :lun unulQ',yQ:o 0. 4:.' 9 bw DEDICA TION The 1974 Cadet is proud to salute two fine people in our transportation department. Twice a day, every day of the school year, and for ten weeks during the summer approximately 16 S.C.M.A. busses transport the Cadets to and from school, as well as on field and sports activities. Planning routes, coordinating time schedules, training drivers, maintaining maintenance records, gasoline and oil purchases and reports and answering questions is no small job. Mrs. Ann Payne, has been with S.C.M.A. since 1966 and has effectively and patiently fulfilled the duties of transportation manager. Mr. F. Rockwell lbetter known as Rockyl has been driving a school bus for SCMA since 1966 with a perfect driving record. Driving a school bus requires a combination of qualities including meeting rigid requirements set up by the State of California and the California Highway Patrol, first aid knowledge, maintaining discipline on the bus and also greeting and getting to know the cadets. During the 1972-73 school year S.C.M.A. placed first in the Greater Los Angeles Safety Contest in the 500,000 mile per year division, with no chargable accidents. We salute Mrs. Payne and Mr. Rockwell.
