After three seemingly short years, 56 Seniors entered our last year of high school. Our of- ficers were Jim Brink, President; Rick Tracy, Vice President; Donna Smith, Secretary- Treasurer; Debbie Garrett and Charlie Martin, Student Council Representatives. Mr. Clapp and Mrs. Turner were our sponsors. D’Ann Long was our Barnwarmin’ Candidate. Our magazine sales broke all previous school records. Other money-making projects were a chili supper, concession stand at the Region- al Tournament, the Country Shindig, and the Harlem Thrillers. Janis Johnson reigned over Homecoming. Our float, “We Just Want to Celebrate Another Eagle Victory,” proved to be another first place winner. The Senior class officers Jim Brink, Donna Smith, and Rick Tracy proudly display their class pennant. Beverly Vaughn and Greg Wren were our AHS Candidates, and Bev was chosen Miss AHS. Linda Hackman and Dale Lenger were voted Queen and King of the Valentine’s Sweetheart Dance. At Prom, Vicki Harmon and Mike Sapp were named Prom King and Queen. The Spring Concert of the band and choruses was dedi- cated to the Seniors. One of the big events of the year was the trip to Kalfran Lodge at the Lake of the Ozarks. Baccalaureate was on May 21 with Reverend Roy Weister as the speaker. The long awaited event. Commence- ment, was held on May 25. The address was given by Mr. A. E. Beach. The Seniors, in blue robes, were presented their diplomas and per- formed a candle lighting ceremony. Graduation closed one chapter in the life of every Senior. 21
