The 1986 golf team made school history with an impressive 18-2 record. They enjoyed their first year ever victory over MSU, the district Z9 champions. They also carded the lowest team score in school history with a 290 C2 strokes over part in a match against Bishop Byrne and Kirby. tn the Bishop Byrne Invitational, a tourna- ment teaturing Memphis' best teams, the Tro- ians finished in a tie for second place out of 12 teams. Individually, Um Roap finished in the district tournament and advanced to the Region 8 Tour- nament. This was the second straight year that Tim represented S.B.E.C. in the Regionals. l

Several of the girls are doing exceptionally wellg Niki West is averaging 10 rebounds a game followed by Sherry St. lohn with 7. ln scoring, April Tutor is averaging 10 points a game. Some of the individual highlights of this season have been Niki West scoring a career high of 22 against Harding, Ashley Brawley scoring a high game of 20 against Auhurndate, and Cindy White bringing down 15 rebounds against Lau- sanne. Niki West also brought down 14 rebounds against F.A.C.S. With the experience of this year and losing only two Seniorsp the team should bring about a more successful season next year.
