They received their uniforms and preliminary instructions for the season which lay ahead. They knew the road they had to travel would be a rough one with bruises,broken bones, sprained ankles,and the like, but as true football players, they realized that this was all part of the game. Led by the very able coaching of Coach Hiram Coble and Coach Jimmy Foster, the girls compiled a 5-11 record, while the boys, after getting off to a slow start, won 10 games in a row and finished with a 13-6 record.
