... the Bible is the inspired and only infal- lible and authoritative written Word of God. ... there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. ...1n the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule the nations. . in the Blessed Hope — the rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming. ... the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. . .. regeneration by the Holy Spirit is abso- lutely essential for personal salvation. ... the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer. ... the baptism in the Holy Spirit, accord- ing to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it. . in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. . in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation. A YEAR OF A TIME FOR REJOICING Southeastern College was founded in 1935 as South-Eastern Bible Institute. It was originally located in New Brockton, Alabama until 1940 when it was consolidat- ed with Beulah Heights Bible In- stitute in Atlanta, Georgia. The fi- nal move to its present location was not made until 1952. What began in 1935 as a burden for a Bible training school has grown into America’s third largest Assemblies of God college. The vi- sion to make Southeastern a Christ-centered school with aca- demic excellence has not died, but continues to burn in our present administration and student body. While looking at the past fifty years in perspective, we must real- ize that Southeastern College is the product of much prayer and sacrifice. Let us strive to continue in the vision. We truly have a cause for rejoicing when we realize that God has blessed Southeastern’s past and will continue in His faith- fulness for our future.
