Note From ‘he nano oe Climb ’Til Your Dream Comes True It has been a great privilege to be Editor of this special 50th Anniversary edition of the Torch. As I prepared to send the last pages to the publishers I was overjoyed that the book was finally done. It has taken an incredible amount of time and work to get this yearbook together. I remember going into the yearbook room at 6:00 p.m. one night and coming out at 10:00 a.m. the next day. I remem- ber the million and one details that needed to be done, pictures to arrange, notes to write, names to get, money to raise, and trying to identify all those mugshots. I was thrilled the day the proofs began coming back and seeing the result of all the work. I’ve had to make decisions that weren’t easy but somehow everything always worked out for the best. I want to thank everyone who has helped me in any way. Your dedication and sacrificial giving was greatly appreciated. I praise God for the strength and courage He has given me and all the valuable lessons I have learned as a result of being editor. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. 132 A Often your tasks will be many, And more than you think you can do... But always remember, the hills ahead Are never as steep as they seem, And with Faith in your heart start upward And climb ’til you reach your dream, For nothing in life that is worthy Is ever too hard to achieve If you have the courage to try it And you have the Faith to believe... For Faith is a force that is greater Than knowledge or power or skill and many defeats turn to triumph If you trust in God’s wisdom and will...
