We are especially thrilled over the appointment of a new missionary to Nigeria. This new missionary-nurse is our own Doris. Miss Doris Geiger graduated from South-Eastern last year and is still the college nurse. Our prayers shall be with her as she goes to Africa for we know the Lord will use her to bring healing to broken souls as well as help for broken bodies. Doris points to the spot where her name soon will be! l lt is a great thrill for us at South-Eastern to have missionaries visit us in our chapel services. The testimonies of those who have accepted the challenge and are going into all parts of the world with the Gospel of Christ are an inspiration to us. We especially appreciated the ministry of Rev. and Mrs. David Brauchler and Rev. and Mrs. George Davis. The Brauchlers, who are graduates from South-Eastern, are now in language school in Costa Rica preparing for ministry to the Latin American people. Brother Davis is Sunday School Coordinator for Latin America. He and Mrs. Davis are now on tour on behalf of the Spanish Literature Department. This missionary outreach provides literature that has brought the Gospel to thousands of Spanish-speaking people. l President Callihan presents the Brauchlers with a check for 5500. The George Davis Family It has long been the policy of the students at South-Eastern to give five hundred dollars to alumni who are under ap- pointment for the mission field. Each year pledges are taken from the student and faculty, and a mission budget is set up. Our hearts are filled with ioy as we are able to help those who are going into the far places of the earth to minister to others. 77
