To the Graduating Class of 1983: As you step over the threshold from the world of school to the world of work , it is my hope that the experience you have gained at Southeastern will have been a major preparation for the years to come. The difference between school and work is as the difference between getting ready for the game and being in the contest . Getting ready can be fun and excitement underscored by a feeling of expectation. Being in the contest represents a time of proving oneself, underscored frequently by concern and apprehension. If the process of getting ready has been diligently pursued, then being in the contest will be like a strong footstep on the road of life. I trust that you have prepared yourself well. It is my fervent hope that the school has given much to you and, if so, will be a part of your cherished memories for the rest of your lives. Very truly yours, Donald E. Graves Superintendent DEG:bjr Superintendent DONALD E. GRAVES

You came to Southeastern as freshmen enthusiastic in your desire for a vocational education, but more than that the teachers sought to impress upon you the importance of a positive attitude and good work habits. Your diploma and vocational certificate certify that you are ready to face the many challenges of the working world. It is my hope that we have been successful in this goal because as graduates of Southeastern, you will offer these learned values as your credentials to success and happiness. My sincere congratulations and good luck. High School Principal ROBERT KONDRACKI
