For this reason he has earned our respect and gratitude. He has been an inspiring coach in football and in hockey and has shown us how to accept defeat as well as enjoy victory. As a shop teacher he has been a fair and honest instruc- tor. For these reasons, we the class of 1971, do hereby dedi- cate the 1971 Invictus to Mr. John Scully. DONALD E. GRAVES Congratulations Seniors! It has been nnost gratifying working with you as individuals and as a class in help- ing to develop Southeastern Regional Vocational- Technical School to the high level that has been at- tained in the four years of its existence. In this age of rapid change in social and educational patterns many hurdles have been overcome during the past four years as you pursued your studies, and ob- tained the basic academic and vocational training re- quired by today ' s society. Again my best to you! At other times, I have referred to the fact that South- eastern was a new school with many experiences to en- counter and traditions to develop. With the graduation of the Class of 1 971 , it should be noted that our school has now been in existence four full school years. Expe- riences have been encountered; tradition is being devel- oped. The success which Southeastern is enjoying is without question due in large part to the conscientious effort, seriousness of purpose and dedication to values of our students. We expect that the contribution to Southeast- ern ' s experience and tradition made by the Class of 1971 will significantly determine the role of the school in years to come. The contribution of the Class of 1 971 to these factors is notable. I congratulate you and wish you the best of good fortune in the years to come. DfR- OOR OP RALPH G.
