Dedic Donald E. Graves Superintendent, Director TO THE SENIORS: I cannot write of my best wishes for the future of the Class of 1969 without remembering the Spring day in 1967 when vou boarded a bus at the door of Brockton Trade, said a final good-bye and travelled to your beautiful new regional vo- cational-technical high school. During two full years at the new school, your class has helped significantly in getting things started. You helped es- tabUsh our student council, our athletic programs and many other activities. It is my sincere hope that the wonderful experience which we have all shared together will contribute to our own future as good citizens of our country and the world. Very best wishes, Donald E. Graves Superintendent Director Dedication The Plans are Drawn. The Concrete is Poured. The Construction Begins. Equipment is Installed. Chairs are brought in. Desks Arrive . . . and a new school is bom. But, is it Really? More is required to turn this physical plant into a school. It takes people. A school must have purpose, direction and most of all — it must have feeling. At Southeastern, education is more than sitting in a class. It is being part of a whole. It is belonging. It requires a special type of person to create this atmosphere. The Senior Class of 1969 dedicates the first edition of S.E.R.V.I.S. to two men who have been in- strumental in creating the Southeastern way, Mr. Donald E. Graves, superintendent- Director, and Mr. Ralph G. Bumpus, Assistant-Director. 14

The rapid scientific, economic and social changes which we are experienc- ing require that we develop ourselves intellectually as well as physically to meet these d!emands. As graduates of S.R.V.T.S. you may face this challenge with confidence in both yourself as well as your vocation. Please accept our best wishes for your every success and happiness in the future. J.
