During these 15 years he has been a leader and builder of far-sighted projects which have enabled Southeastern to progress and flourish. Timely projects such as the professional aviation program, which is one of the two in the United States, are examples of Dr. Shear- ers concern for the present as well as the future. Mrs. Shearer, the first lady of the.campus, shows concern and enthusiasm toward her hus- band’s work and is always there to give the extra word of encouragement. President Shearer served-as the Dean of the College for 14 years before assuming the post of president. His primary interest is the students and through his years of service he has helped shape the course of education in Southern Oklahoma. du as a.m. and four ee i thee are the hours the mail arrives on etters from a a comfort 3 place for the coeds: to % and J aie television. — The Southeastern student is a busy specie.
