Homecoming Pageantry Color, pageantry, fun and excite- ment were hallmarks of the Home- coming celebration. The campus was decorated exten- sively to honor returning graduates. In addition to decorations provided by the residence halls, a number of aca- demic departments prepared special Homecoming displays. Participants in the Student Acti- vities Board sponsored window painting contest decorated the huge plate glass windows of the Student Union Building. The annual Homecoming parade, planned and sponsored by Alpha Omicron Pi social sorority, was a high- light of Homecoming weekend. Top entries in the parade included the float built by the St. Albert’s Student Board, which was judged ‘‘Most Original; Delta Tau Delta’s float which copped the ‘Most Beautiful” prize; and Delta Omicron’s “Most Beautiful Car” entry. Winning floats were brought into Strawberry Stadium where they added color to the Homecoming Football game. Activities 29

Homecoming Excitement The campus was alive for Home- coming ‘75! This year’s observance of homecoming was attended by the largest crowds ever—and more activities were offered than before. The Alumni Association, with much assistance from student organi- zations, sponsored numerous activities which added up to a busy week for all. In addition to the traditional bonfire, dormitory displays, home- coming parade, and football game, there were other special events. For the sports minded, there was a golf tournament, tennis tournament, “night at the races,” and a bass tournament. As usual, the Alumni House was headquarters for the celebration. At the Homecoming Luncheon, out- standing alumni, distinguished faculty, and special friends of the University were honored. In short, Homecoming 1975 was a grand reunion for those who cherish Southeastern and the memories their alma mater evokes. mmr aul i, nk, of = ttt 30 Activities
