The annual events which We sponsor include the Valentine's Dance, the Song Fest during Greek Week, and participa- tion in Homecoming activities. Also for Homecom- ing We sell confetti, giving all proceeds to U.S.S. Hope. Alpha Psi also gives a Christmas Party for the children in a nearby school for the mentally re- tarded and the pledges sponsor a party for the old folks during the Christmas season. Besides these' events, Phi Mu has programs such as the big-little sister program Which helps to establish closer rela- tionships Within the Fraternity. H nr XC. The SLC chap- ter was established May 1, 1964, when Beta Chi So- rority became Gamma Mu chapter. Others in Lou- isiana are at Northwestern, USL, and Loyola. The purpose of the sorority is to develop the at- tributes of Christian womanhood: Love, loyalty, fidelity, and service. By developing strong bonds of perpetual friendship, encouraging scholastic achievement, demanding high ethical and moral standards, and providing opportunities for leader- shifp and unselfish service, Tri Sigma seeks to de- velop women who contribute effectively to campus, community, and country.
