FOOTBALL The 1963 football season was a rebuilding campaign. Many players had gone, and new ones filled the helmeted ranks. Coach Galloway, in order to meet the weekly threats, shuffled his players as a Las Vegas dealer might shuffle his cards. The schedule, though demanding, allowed time for a periodic regrouping of forces and changing of tactics. The ground strategy was successful. The team responded throughout the season to its percentage-playing leadership. Even during the final moments of the games in which the Lions were losing by just a slight margin, the gridiron warriors displayed decorum and discipline by following at-the-moment hard-to-understand orders from the bench. By keeping the grand strategy In mind, the young lions performed well under fire. Next year, SLC will field battle experi- enced veterans, and a title-hungry team.

KANGAROO KOURT His Royal Highness and distinguished court take their places in the palace, and the fun and frolic treat marks the end of the Freshmean Activities program begins. Knowing upperclassmen come early to get good seats; some of the freshmen crowded into the audi- torium and found seats while others lingered on the steps outside to await the final decree for the 1963-64 Freshman Class.
