E eh-- SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE The first half of this century has been marked with great progress. This progress has been made in the face of two ,world wars and a serious economic depression. Now we are faced with another tragic emergency that is world-wide. To high school graduates this emergency is indeed tragic. It poses many problems of adjustment for our young people. It is generally agreed that education in general will help youth to solve many of its problems. Liberal edu- cation frees the minds of people from the shackles of ignor- ance, prejudice, and superstition, and developes the process of informed, unprejudiced, logical thinking - so necessary to solve the problems of today. MILEY COTTRILL FRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE The publishing of this annual reminds us that another school year is ended. The completion of another year means another Senior Glass is leaving the halls of Southeastern High School. we wonder, in the years to come, how you Seniors will view this brief span of -high school -years, the 'history of which this annual records. Permit me, in a passing moment of wishful thinking, to answer for you. It is my sincere desire that each will remember his high school days with a deep love and reverence for Alma Mater, with a great appreciation of the opportunity afforded for learning the lessons so essential to lifeg with an abid- ing belief that the associations and friendships made with students and teachers are priceless, with the conviction that loyalty, spirit, and cooperation developed in school life are the essentials in life's school, with the belief that school was the best and happiest days of your entire life.
