Wright, and Sentinel, Homer Silcott. Ziff: Several of the boys won honors at the Ross County Fair. gig Roger Swaney won fifth place in F.F.A. and third place in xgfflf open class. Jimmy Detillion won first place with his sow and litter and second place with a cow, G.T. Wright won 'Qi first place with his .ayrshirc heifer and Charles Dresbach if won third with a cow, second with a bull calf, fourth with a if heifer, and champion with a cow, Charles Dresbach, Ronald as Leach, and Gordon Gillfillan also won honors at the Ohio gl. State Fair. gg The F.F.A. Parliamentary Procedure team competed in E51 the annual District 10 contest held at Bainbridge. They fm also conducted a pest hunt. Dave White and Homer Silcott li? served as captains of the two teams. The losing team treat- ed the winning team with a Hamburger Supper. The annual T.F.A.-F.H.A. Plub was orranized and the officers were elected' at a meetinr held at the beginning of the vear. The officers are as follows: President, Helen Hart, Vice-Pres- ident, Mamie Paxter, Qecretary, Barbara Davis, Treasurer, Pharlotte Topping, Feporter, Lore+ta Castle, Parliamentariang Ruby, Easterday, and Historian, Rettv Pridenbaugh. Informal and formal initations for the new members were held at Fuckskin Uifh qchool. The F.F.N. and T.W.l. had a Christmas partv on December 12 and exchanged gifts. The club entertained wdth a skit at the Farmers Insti- tute on the afternoon of Januarv l9 and also displaved a booth of F.U.l. projects. Associate Editors were Norma O'Dell and Barbara Davis. Man- aging Fditor was Evelyn Fairchild, Proof Editors were Doris Dozer and Varie Smith, News Editors were Audrey maple .and Alice Fhaney, Feature Editors were Helen Hart and Evelyn Hess, and qports Editors were Jimmy Grant and Norma Knisley. Miss O'Dell served as Production Advisor and Ur, Stultz as Advertising Advisor. The typing and mimeographing was done by the Sten. II class. Art Editors were Bob White and Lucille James, the Typing Editor was Nancy Lee, Jerry Wick- line was Business Wanaper, Advertising Manager was Neal French, Exchange Editor was Loretta Fairchild, and Curcula- tion Nanagers were Donald Lyons and Junior Punninrhaw. There were three issues of the Southeasterner emimeo- graphed and there was a total of 1,650 copies-sold, The new covers were made by the Industrial Arts III class, under the supervision o' Vr. Wagner. The attractive covers were Wade bv the process of silk screening. INPUQTRIAL AQTS There have been many new additions made in the Indus- trial Arts Department this year. Among the new projects in the course are silk screen- ing, sheet metal work, and book binding. By the silk7SGreen- ing process, many attractive covers have been made for the Southeasterners. , The metal lathe which is one of the latest made by South Bend has won the hearty aporoval of all the Industrial Arts boys. They have used the lathe to make nailsets, een- terpunches, and drift pins. Several of the boys displayed projects at the Farmer's Institute. Some new improvements which were made in the school by the Industrial Arts boys were the refinishing of Hhme Eco- nomics tables, desks in the class rooms, and the cafeteria tables. The boys have also taken up the art of book binding. As a result many books which were once thought to be of no use have been made as good as new.
