':Ifg.'f. -.'-.-:Y: I , , , - ,.... -., , ...... ,.-.4.,.,.....T-+ 1 SEVENTH GRADE The class officers of the Seventh grade are: President, James Wiltshire, Vice President, Angeline Walker, Secretary, Patricia Topping, Reporter, Jean Locke, Treasurer, Roma Drake, Advisors, Miss DeHays and Miss Behm. There were several boys on the Junior High basketball team. They were as follows: Jimmy Wiltshire, Bobby Mavis, Bob Pool, Richard Manson, Buster Lawhorn, Bobby Ogan, and Jimmy Brown. The class assembly was held on October 20, 1950. Songs and recitations were features of the program. The Seventh and Eighth grades will have a class picnic in May. In March group pictures were taken for the annual and also individual pictures were taken. The Seventh graders were sorry to lose Mrs. Flickinger, but were glad to welcome Miss Behm. The Junior High School chorus sang at the Farmer's Institute, and the Spring Concert. F.T.A.AmmM.Mms The Horace Mann Chapter of the Future Teachers of Amer- ica club met on September 19, 1950. Thirteen new members met with the eleven old members and our advisors, Mr. Wagner and Mr. Cottrill. The officers elected were: President, Audrey Mapleg Vice President, Barbara Leasureg Secretary, Norma Jean Knis- leyg Treasurer, John Kimblerg Reporter, Shirley Crumg His- torian, Jane Pembletong and Song Leader, Barbara 'Leasure. The White carnation was chosen as the club flower, pink and blue for the colors and the motto, UStudents Today, Teachers Tomorrow.U The formal initiation was held during November, and each member received a white carnation. After the install- ation of officers, the speaker, Mr. A. E. Gower, County Superintendent, was introduced by Mr. Cottrill. During the year we have discussed many experiences of being teachers, the preparation for becoming teachers, and many of the problems of being teachers. A , CLASS PQEM When Saint Peter called the roll on high, Jessie an- swered, Where am I.W Alice, Ibrcthy, Mildred, Marie, answered together, Where are we.N Then Norma and Cricket came giggling by, Junior and Don said with a sigh, Are Homer, Marvin, and Noah coming? We passed them all while we were running.W Marilyn and Loretta were on the way, But Jack for his crimes had stopped to pay. Bob F. and Bill tossed one more ball and Neal ran by with a nhl-you-all!W Barbara L. came singing on a star, while Bob N. strummed 5 on his old guitar. 'Then Evelyn F. whizzed up the line, with Doris and Edna strinjing behind. Nancy was there with the highest score, Dave, Pete, and Jim D. landed on the floor. Norma Jean and Lucille came along very slow, with George, and Jerry, completing the row. Here comes Audrey, the missionary, and along skips Evelyn H. like a little canary. Helen and Sue were giving a cheer. Laura, Jim G., and brank said, UWe're glad we're herein Gerald and Richard came up late, Just as Saint Peter was closing the gate.
