DEDICATIV N MARY RIDLEY With solid conviction that we are right in our choice, and thus with unbounded enthusiasm, we of the Aryan Staff dedicate this 1946 edition of our school annual to Mrs. Mary Ridley. No doubt many will say that this testimonial is long overdue: and in the opinion of the present Staff, it is. Of course, we 1946ers concede the right of all preceding Staff members to their own opinions. ln that connection, we can say only that we are pleased no end that fate left us the opportunity to make this mostly highly deserved selection. We know from our own experience here at Southeastern what a matchless job of faithfulness and competence Mrs. Ridley, as head of our Music department, has done. Overcoming all the usual handicaps found in most city high schools, and then meeting and brilliantly overcoming certain extraordi- nary handicaps, Mrs. Ridley had steadily kept South- eastern second to none in its record of musical achievement. No need to retell here the happy story. Suffice it to say again that this Staff really considers itself extra lucky in being able to express Southeastervfs deep gratitude to a fine teacher and a faithful friend. looks as if Wlrs.
