A NU! RY MA' B553 With knees a knocking, teeth a chattering, and each grasping for a measure of assurance, the bewildered candidates and baffled speakers gropingly sought their stations as one of the largest congregation of May- bees in Southeastern's history assembled in our auditorium. The result gave the Maybees the outstanding combination of Greenburg, Townsend, Crawford, and Wolf to fill the class offices. We extend a salute to the worthy opponents of the successful candi- lates: Shumaker, Gillespie, Krol, and Seitzg and our appreciation is ex- tended to the campaign managers and their assistants, who participated in the surprising but unusual performances staged in the various Houses at record time. The huge success of the Mac Maybee's Plaide Prance and the Senior-Maybee Reception is evidence in itself of the capabilities of its officers and the administration. They planned and executed big things for a great class, thanks to the untiring efforts of Mr. Cammett, faculty ad- visor and class sponsor. r,,,W, We .MMM A e Q-fame: V -- ,. . i,....a,i,, ,.,i,., aswff,,aa,w,..,,. , ,aifmvmamcwwt ..,, , M vi ,,, ,. 24

very class has its presidents, vice-presidents, sec- C L A S S 0 F .I U N E 4 6 retaries. and treasurersg but naturally we think that there have never been any like Don, Barbara, Dolores, and jim. They met each obstacle with a smile, and if you were ever an executive you know there are obstacles -but as a whole things went off well, as the class steamed along to success. The activities opened with the Robin's Romp, a fine dance. The class' most exceptional contribution was the organization and establishment of the first parentls club at Southeastern. The class worked industriously to make the club a success and was rewarded with the inauguration of night dances that took place before they were graduated. In the spring, a young man's fancy turns to thoughts of love, but the June Seniors thought of gradua- tion with a twinge of anxiety mingled with sadness. Everyone seemed to agree that school is really fun while it lasts, but that it doesn't last long enough. Old pals soon scattered to go their chosen ways. Verse I Our high school days are over and we inust leavfe behind The friends and teachers we have rnet and found both true and kind,- And though we face the future we shall not go astray, For we shall use the knowledge we have gained along the way. Verse II We sing to you, Southeastern, with thoughts of you and praise, Will n'ere forget the things weave done throughout our high school days ,' The time has rorne for parting and we inust say goodbye, To you our Alma Mater, Our own Southeastern High. Chorus We all join loud in chorus, To sing our praise to you, lVe'z'e found you are the best of schools, Southeastern, we love you. 23 K K, Donald Shumaker President Barbara Gillespie Vice-President Dolores Krol Secretary Jim Seitz Treasurer ef!! xl QQ, s Kg llr
