Spring Festival '77: The Spring Festival, which now is an annual event at SCC, was put together by the SGA and their advisor, Bob Priest. The Spring Festival was held so that students and staff could have an informal gathering prior to graduation and summer quarter. From the pig-picking to the softball games, fun was had by all. SM. xffg The SCC Foundation sponsored its first din- nerftheatre on April 30, 1977. judge Raymond Mallard was Honorary Chairman of the event which raised over 53,000 profit for the Founda- tion. The SCC Foundation raises local funds to match with Federal Funds for Student Financial Aid. One-hundred and seventy supporters of the Foundation attended the 525 per plate event. The guests were served a delicious steak dinner and enjoyed a delightful performance entitled Heroes and Hard Cases. The production was conducted by the Alpha- Omega Players, a nationally acclaimed tour group from Rockport, Texas. Mr. Harold Wells, SCC Foundation Board of Di- rectors, presents a plaque to Mrs. Emily Peal for her outstanding job as Chairperson of Founda- tion's Annual Fund Drive.
