SCC Finishes Second i The Torches started out With The fans cheered them on with Go- Go-Go and Fight, determination to win and Team, Fight. We had faith in them and they never let us never slacked down. down. Just one of the many moments of joy and excitement. There were times when the going looked rough. Who couldn't win with this kind of school spirit?! Some prayed, some shouted, and some cried . With two seconds left in the game we were tied. Darrell Carter shot . . . MISSED . . . Raymond Mag- gard tipped it in . . . the buzzer sounded . . . the announcer shouted IT'S GOOD!! AND PANDE- MONIUM JUST BROKE LOOSE! !

Regional Championship After beating Lindsey Wilson in the afternoon, we had to play Paducah that evening for the championship. Our boys were tired. just as the opposing team was. We still, however, had the same determination. A large crowd gathered in the gymnasium to watch Southeastern play Paducah for the regional championship. Our boys played hard and kept the Even though we played a very good game, we couldn't Indians on their toes with shots like this beat the Indians that night. The team looks sad, but we one by Raymond Maggard. were behind them all the way. We didn't win the champion- ship, but we were still there to cheer our boys off the floor. We finished in second place and received a beautiful trophy. The fans there that night didn't care who won. They gave our boys a cheer of WE'RE PROUD OF OUR TEAM .
